My name is Gaylan Towle II, and I created this blog in January of 2013 with the purpose of sharing my passion for film and the Academy Awards with movie enthusiasts everywhere. For almost a century, the Oscars has been the Super Bowl for the film industry, and even today, this still rings true.  Each Academy Awards season, this blog is home to the countdown of my “Top 10 Films of the Year,” and it also acts as my personal ballot for many of the major Oscar categories.  Throughout the year, I share other posts as well, which most prominently include seasonal film previews.  My hope has always been that through this blog, I can share with you all both my enthusiasm for cinema and some worthwhile film recommendations.
